The Medicine-On-Time SystemMultiple Medications have you confused? Most people at one time or another forget to take a dose of medication. Risk of forgetting is even higher when patients take several drugs at different times of the day. Misuse of medications is believed to be the cause of up to 25 percent of hospitalizations among the elderly. The Solution to Managing MedicationsThe Medicine-On-Time Dispensing System is a color-coded drug packaging system that is designed to improve medication compliance. It is organized by time of day cards that are additionally divided by days of the week. A medication administration record is also included, as well as a drug reference book for the medicine technicians. A patient's list of medications is sent to a pharmacist, who sorts the drugs into single-dose allotments. The medication is then packed in a blister-pack, color-coded card with single dose pockets or bubbles. If more than one medication is needed at a particular time, up to six pills can be placed in a single bubble. The card contains the patient's name, drug contents, date, and time to take the medication. Risk of getting the wrong medication is greatly reduced since all medication is prepackaged specifically for the patient. Call Today for More Information: (336) 349-3313 |
